Interesting discussion today from @MigrationPolicy about President Obama’s new Deferred Action policy. While it does not include all the benefits of the Dream Act, it does grant temporary legal status to qualifying undocumented immigrants living in the United States. According to MPI’s August report, as many as 1.76 million people could benefit from deferred action. To view a discussion of the policy and report, check out C-SPAN’s video coverage.
