A civil war survivor, a highway fatality

Medard Prosper survived a civil war in 2007 in his native Democratic Republic of Congo.                                                        
Prosper lived through it all and made his way to Minnesota.                                                                                                                 
“I was born for the second time in the USA,” he once told his high school newspaper.  On Thursday, April 12, the 19-year-old was killed in a traffic accident.
