Of course! Interestingly enough we get this question very often which shows that being an “immigrant” [etc] has become a dirty word and anti-American—when it is the most American thing! Thank you for deciding to contribute. Hopefully we’ll help create a climate where we can appreciate our immigrant heritage one story at a time.

What about Native Americans?

Interesting question. Anthropologists hypothesize thousands of years ago Native Americans also immigrated to the North American continent. Even if they haven’t Native Americans have been made immigrants in their own land—their nations and original homes wiped out, mined, built over [etc]. They, like everyone else, are welcomed in this movement.
